MY STORY

I grew up in Indiana and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.  I recently added a Reading Endorsement to my Georgia Certificate and Master’s Degree.  This is my 19th year teaching at Abney! Abney is where all three of our children went through elementary.  So, I have been a part of the Abney family since 1993!  WOW!!
I have many stars in my life.  I married my brightest star, Ken Adams, Jr. 37 years ago.  We have three wonderful shining star children and their loves.  Ken & Jenn, Sarah & Andy, and Andrew & Hannah.  We are blessed to be grandparents of three precious grandchildren and another coming in October.  Our family also includes our sweet dog Tailwind whom we adopted.   One of my hobbies is raising ducks and chickens.  Our family enjoys boating, camping, swimming, and spending time together. 
My hobbies include shopping at thrift stores, collecting children's books and fancy teapots.  My favorite food is Mexican.  My favorite book is the Bible.
